Why did you choose to work at Abeles and Hoffman?
I chose to work here for two reasons: the opportunity to serve individual and small business clients and the firm’s culture. My goal is to become a trusted advisor to individuals and small businesses, helping them to achieve peace of mind, stability and growth. Abeles and Hoffman’s client base allowed me to pursue this goal. Moreover, the firm empowers me to achieve this goal by fostering a culture of balance, learning, and development.
What are the greatest benefits of working for Abeles and Hoffman?
The greatest benefits of working for Abeles and Hoffman are the firm’s diverse client base, focus on balance, and emphasis of learning and development. I also have the opportunity to work with talented professionals who are willing to invest in my success by helping me to learn and grow.
What do you enjoy most about living in the St. Louis area?
I enjoy spending time with my wife, family, friends, and my dog, Ellie. I also enjoy growing my faith at Holy Infant Catholic Church and spending time in the great forests, rivers, and lakes that this area has to offer.
How have you saved the day for a client?
While preparing a state sales tax return for a client, a colleague and I found that the company had failed to include sales tax amounts in the price of several goods that they had sold to customers. This resulted in lower profit margins for the company. We identified an issue in the company’s internal controls that had allowed for the mistake to happen. Based on our conversation, my colleague was able to advise the client in order to improve the company’s control structure.
