Audit Senior Accountant

Responsibilities:

  • Run audits, reviews, and compilation engagements in the field.
  • Assist clients with bookkeeping and financial statement preparation engagements.
  • Interact directly with clients and staff.
  • Utilize and develop research skills for communication and/or documentation.
  • Assist in mentoring, providing instruction, and growth of staff associates.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years in public accounting or equivalent experience in industry.
  • Ability to prepare financial statements and a solid knowledge of accounting and audit standards.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
  • CPA preferred, but not required.
  • Working proficiency in audit and accounting research.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Perform work accurately and in a time efficient manner, with strong attention to detail, organization, and follow through.

  • Effective management of engagement profitability, client billings, and staff resources On-going development of knowledge in all tax areas and legislation
  • Provide leadership, counseling, and career direction for the progression and retention of staff

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years in public accounting or equivalent experience in industry
  • Experience with high level, technical, final reviews of federal and state tax returns for business entities, trust, and individuals
  • Strategic tax planning skills required
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • CPA preferred, not required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to client
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
  • Confidence in time management and ability to prioritize while working on multiples complex engagements

Office Manager

We are currently seeking a knowledgeable, Office Manager, who is a self-starter and intrinsically motivated to manage the office of a CPA Firm. As the firm Office Manager, we’ll look to you to manage various aspects of the day-to-day operations of the firm as well as helping us to innovate our existing processes and procedures. This position requires that you possess the following core competencies:

  • Exceptional client service abilities while maintaining confidentiality
  • Strong initiative, with the ability to prioritize tasks and responsibilities under deadlines
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Supervising a team of 6-7 support staff in accomplishing firm goals
  • Accounting and Payroll for the Firm
  • Human Resources
  • Insurances, membership, professional fees and other renewals
  • Liaison for 3rd party IT function
  • Managing the firm’s due date system
  • Managing the firm’s electronic filing database

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years’ experience working for a CPA or other professional services firm preferred, but not required
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and Adobe
  • Experience with CCH Axcess preferred, but not required
