Jacob Maret joined Abeles and Hoffman P.C. in 2017 and serves as a Tax Manager specializing in trust, gift, and estate taxation. He also works on a wide range of tax matters, including business and individual tax compliance and planning. In addition to serving clients, Jacob is actively involved in staff mentoring and recruiting, helping support the continued growth and development of the firm’s team. 

Jacob earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Saint Louis University in 2013 and his Master of Accounting from Saint Louis University in 2014. During his time at SLU, he was a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity, Alpha Sigma Nu Jesuit Honor Society, and Omicron Delta Epsilon International Economics Honor Society. 

Outside of the office, Jacob lives in Ballwin, Missouri, with his wife and their four children. Together, they enjoy spending time outdoors, reading aloud, gathering with friends and family, and visiting their family farm in Gasconade County.

  2. If you had a clock that would countdown to any one event of your choosing, what event would you want it to countdown to? My death. I think it would help me live a more meaningful life.
  3. When was the last time you climbed a tree? Early Spring of this year to hang a swarm trap for wild bees. 
  4. What’s the most unusual thing you’ve ever eaten? Rattlesnake. 
  5. What was your first job? Fitness Desk Associate at The Lodge Des Peres community center.
