In Loving Memory of
Eli M. Abeles
1978 - 2018

“As an advisor, my clients look to me as more than just an accountant assisting with their compliance work, but rather a partner helping achieve their desired personal and corporate goals.”

Eli joined Abeles and Hoffman in 2005. As a principal, he specializes in providing auditing and consulting services for the firms’ clients. He assists a wide array of clients including architecture, engineering, law, marketing and advertising firms, medical practices and distribution, manufacturing and construction companies. Eli is also the go-to professional in the office for IT and forensic related services. A valuable resource to Abeles and Hoffman, he not only assists clients with their accounting and consulting needs, but also helps manage the firm’s audit practice, IT and networking, and business development.

Before joining the firm, Eli worked at Deloitte and Touche for over three years. During his time at the firm, he was promoted from audit and assurance services staff to senior. Eli gained experience working with technology, retail, distribution and manufacturing companies and not-for-profit organizations. He also assisted with internal control evaluations.

With over 10 years of professional experience, Eli has developed the necessary acumen to assist his clients with even the most complex accounting and consulting related issues. In one instance, he assisted a company with generational ownership transition to ensure successful continuation of business. Eli worked with another client to identify and quantify significant fraud within their organization. In the end, he recommended internal controls to assist the company in their fraud prevention efforts.

Eli chose to pursue a career in accounting because of his strong desire to have a direct impact on the successes of his clients.  He enjoys assisting his clients by utilizing their data to make better decisions about their financial opportunities.

Eli grew up in St. Louis and currently lives in Olivette with his wife, Stacy, and their two sons.  Outside of dealing with numbers and facts, he enjoys traveling and camping. Eli is also an avid sports fan—he can often be found watching Wisconsin football and basketball or any St. Louis sporting event.
