Abeles and Hoffman, P.C. announces that Eli M. Abeles, former managing partner, was posthumously awarded the David N. and Roselin Grosberg Young Leadership Award on September 27, 2018.

Eli passed away on September 10, 2018 after a battle with metastatic kidney cancer. He had been a valued member of the firm, a beloved leader and partner, and a client confidant since 2005.

“Eli was a true hero of his profession and his community. He would be thrilled to receive this award,” said Ron Abeles, CPA, co-founder, President, and Shareholder of Abeles and Hoffman, P.C. and father of the late Eli Abeles. “He was committed to giving back to the local community in every way possible and strove to be an active leader. We continue to mourn Eli and miss him deeply.”

The David N. and Roselin Grosberg Young Leadership Award is given annually to volunteer leaders in the Jewish community. The award recognizes leaders who have demonstrated a commitment to the mission of the Jewish Federation of St. Louis through both volunteer leadership and participation in the Annual Campaign. Eli had already been selected to receive the award before his passing.

An accomplished accounting professional and a vital member of Abeles and Hoffman, P.C., Eli volunteered with the Jewish Community Center of St. Louis for nearly a decade and also served the Jewish Federation of St. Louis. Those who knew him described him as knowledgeable, warm, and deeply committed to his family, his firm, and his community.
